About Heather
Heather began sewing when she was a child. A graduate of the University of Michigan Residential College with a degree in art history and theater, she trained in theater costuming and worked as a designer and pattern maker at a local leather goods business.
Wanting to expand her repertoire she started her own dressmaking and tailoring business in 1983, making custom couture. Contact with her customers, especially excited brides, became the most rewarding aspect of her business.
She was featured in the "Ann Arborites"
column of the Ann Arbor Observer' in 2015.
Our History
37 years ago, we started our business in a room devoted to the craft of sewing.
Today we are still as devoted, dedicating an entire floor of our historic building in Ann Arbor Michigan. In fact, our building has had a family tailoring business in it since the 1800's!
Our team has mad skills, and we will take the time to devote our entire attention to you when you come, which is why we work by appointment.
